Plant health care is a preventative health care program for your trees and shrubs. Instead of waiting until you have a big problem in your landscape, we will monitor your landscape plants on a regular basis to spot problems while they are still small and treatable. This includes spotting potential tree hazards, new insect outbreaks, early signs of disease, and nutrient deficiency.

What are the advantages of PHC?
By catching problems early, you can drastically reduce the large scale outbreak of damage caused by insects and disease. This can reduce dependence upon and the number of chemical treatments (also an environmental benefit). Finally, you will have a professional Plant Health Care manager periodically walking over your property looking for problems from below and above with trained eyes.

A PHC program means that your plants will be taken care of resulting in a more beautiful landscape.
What is included in the Program?
1. All pruning needs (for health) excluding aesthetic pruning and removals 2. Chemical sprays as needed, Insect Growth Regulators, and Biological Control methods. 3. A regular schedule of monitoring visits to detect and treat problems 4. A monthly report on the health of your landscape
5. Monitoring and recommendations for treatments of included* and non-included**plants 6. A Landscape Map
* Included plants include all woody, perennial trees and shrubs 20 feet in height and less** Non-included plants include all herbaceous annual or perennial flowers and trees over 20 feet in height.

Will you spray my plants each time you come to monitor?
Not necessarily, because spraying each time is:
- Expensive due to the shear amount of product you are putting down each
time wasteful because insects have specific windows of time to treat them chemically.
- If you treat each time then you are pointlessly applying product at times
when the insect is not vulnerable to treatment the environment including: eliminating beneficial, predatory insects and waterways.
- Reducing beneficial insects can cause outbreaks of other insects like
spider mites that cause extensive damage to plants
- Finally overuse or misuse is illegal per the required EPA label on every
chemical.
